Casual Chat
The Casual Chat is designed for general discussions and questions that do not require access to large, specialized knowledge bases. It leverages the general knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and offers a flexible, conversational environment.
Purpose of Casual Chat
Casual Chat is intended for informal conversations and general inquiries. Unlike datarooms, it does not have access to extensive, project-specific knowledge or large datasets. Instead, it utilizes the general knowledge embedded in the selected LLM.
Note: Answers provided in Casual Chat may not be as accurate or reliable as those in datarooms and can contain false information.
Selecting a Language Model
At the top navigation bar, you can choose which LLM to interact with. Each model may have different strengths, so you can select the one that best fits your question.
Select a Language Model
Navigate to the top of the page and locate the LLM selection dropdown.
Click the dropdown and choose your preferred language model.
Starting a New Conversation
To keep discussions organized and contextually relevant, it is recommended to start a new conversation for each new topic. This prevents the LLM from referencing previous, unrelated messages.
Start a New Conversation
Click on New Conversation in the top menu.
Begin your discussion on a new topic in the fresh conversation window.
Uploading Files
You can upload files directly in the chat input area at the bottom of the chat window. However, please note the following limitations:
The file size should be kept small, as LLMs have a limited context window.
For larger files or datasets, use datarooms instead of Casual Chat.
Temporary Uploads & Token Limits
Files you add here are treated as temporary context for this conversation only; they are not stored like dataroom documents. Every model has a maximum number of tokens (characters and words) it can consider at once. If your uploads + chat history exceed that limit, the model will respond that a file was "too large" / "not fully processed".
How to adapt:
Split long documents into smaller targeted files
Remove unnecessary pages (keep only the section you need)
Ask a narrower question (e.g., "Summarize the milestones section" instead of "Summarize the whole 60‑page report")
Move extensive analysis to a dataroom where full processing is possible
Upload fewer files at once for critical accuracy
If you need persistent access, versioning, or comprehensive coverage, switch to a dataroom before continuing.
When to Use Datarooms Instead
For handling large volumes of data, complex documents, or project-specific knowledge, datarooms are the recommended environment. Casual Chat is best suited for quick questions, brainstorming, or general discussions.
